Mama Nest ("we", "us", "our") is a private social platform exclusively for mothers and women. We are operated by Gabrielle Liddy. Our platform is available at momapp-e23.pages.dev and any associated apps.

We collect only what we need to run the platform:

• Account info: Name, email address, password (encrypted), mom type, number of children
• Profile info: Profile photo, bio, location (optional), avatar color
• Content you post: Posts, photos, videos, stories, comments, messages
• ID verification: Government-issued ID photo for identity verification only — deleted after review, never stored long-term
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, interactions (likes, comments, reactions)
• Device info: Browser type, IP address, device type (for security)

🎯 How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To show you content from friends and the community
• To send notifications about activity on your posts
• To verify your identity as a real woman/mother
• To improve the platform and fix bugs
• To enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
• To comply with legal obligations

We do NOT sell your personal data. Ever. Mama Nest products are 100% ad-free and we do not share your information with advertisers.

🤝 Who We Share Data With

• Supabase: Our secure database and authentication provider (supabase.com)
• Cloudflare: Website hosting and performance (cloudflare.com)
• Law enforcement: Only when legally required by valid court order or subpoena

We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

🍪 Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal, essential cookies only:

• Session cookies: To keep you logged in
• Preference cookies: To remember your theme and settings

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you.

👶 Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Mama Nest is strictly for users 18 years of age and older. We require ID verification to confirm all users are adult women. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at gabbygabs853@gmail.com and we will delete the account within 24 hours.

🌍 GDPR Rights (European Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

🔐 Data Security

We protect your data with:

• End-to-end encrypted authentication via Supabase Auth
• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Row-Level Security (RLS) so users can only access their own data
• ID verification photos are encrypted and deleted after review
• Passwords are never stored in plain text

🗑️ Data Retention

• Account data: Kept until you delete your account
• Posts, photos, videos: Kept until you delete them or your account
• Stories: Auto-deleted after 24 hours
• ID verification photos: Deleted within 7 days of review decision
• Messages: Kept until either participant deletes them

✏️ Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users via the app and email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of Mama Nest after changes means you accept the updated policy.

✅ Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Mama Nest, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform. These terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Mama Nest.

👩 Eligibility

To use Mama Nest you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a woman or mother (including expecting, adoptive, foster, step, and grandmothers raising grandchildren)
• Provide accurate information during registration
• Complete our ID verification process
• Not have been previously banned from Mama Nest

📝 Your Content

You own the content you post on Mama Nest. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content on the platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that you have all necessary rights to share your content and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

🚫 Prohibited Content & Behavior

You may NOT post or do any of the following on Mama Nest:

• Harassment, bullying, or threats toward any user
• Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or national origin
• Nudity or sexually explicit content
• Content involving minors in any inappropriate context
• Spam, scams, or fraudulent content
• Impersonating another person or creating fake accounts
• Sharing others' private information without consent (doxxing)
• Content that promotes self-harm or eating disorders
• Misinformation about health, safety, or medical topics
• Illegal content of any kind
• Attempting to hack, scrape, or disrupt the platform

⚖️ Section 230 & Platform Liability

Mama Nest is a platform, not a publisher. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), we are not legally responsible for content posted by our users. We are not liable for any user-generated content, even if we were made aware of its potentially problematic nature.

We moderate content in good faith but cannot review everything. If you see content that violates our guidelines, please use the Report button.

🛡️ Our Rights

Mama Nest reserves the right to:

• Remove any content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or permanently ban accounts for violations
• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Update these Terms with 14 days notice for material changes

⚠️ Disclaimer of Warranties

Mama Nest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that all content will be accurate. We are not responsible for any damages resulting from your use of the platform.

⚖️ Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mama Nest and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the platform shall not exceed $100.

🏛️ Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Mama Nest is registered. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except for small claims court matters.

📋 Our DMCA Policy

Mama Nest complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. We will respond within 48 hours on business days.

📧 How to Submit a Takedown Notice

Send an email to gabbygabs853@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request" and include:

• Your full legal name and contact information
• A description of the copyrighted work being infringed
• The URL or specific location of the infringing content on Mama Nest
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

↩️ Counter-Notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice to gabbygabs853@gmail.com. We will restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the original reporter files a court action.

🔁 Repeat Infringers

Mama Nest has a strict policy against repeat copyright infringers. Users who repeatedly violate copyright will have their accounts permanently terminated.

Mama Nest exists to give every kind of mom a safe, judgment-free space to connect, share, vent, laugh, and support each other. These guidelines keep that space safe for everyone.

✅ Be Kind & Real

• Treat every mama the way you want to be treated
• Disagreements are okay — cruelty is not
• Share your real experiences, not a highlight reel (unless you want to!)
• Lift mamas up — don't tear them down
• No mom-shaming of any kind: breast vs bottle, working vs stay-at-home, any parenting style

🚫 Zero Tolerance

Immediate permanent ban for:

• Any sexual content involving minors
• Violent threats against any person
• Hate speech targeting race, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability
• Doxxing (sharing someone's private info without consent)
• Impersonating another person
• Scams or financial fraud targeting mamas

⚠️ Content That Gets Removed

• Spam or repetitive promotional posts
• Medical misinformation that could harm mamas or children
• Graphic violence or gore
• Content that promotes self-harm or eating disorders
• Fake giveaways or scam links

🏥 Health & Safety

While mamas love to share advice, please:

• Always recommend professional medical advice for health issues
• Don't share unverified medical claims as fact
• If someone seems to be in crisis, encourage them to reach out to a professional
• National Crisis Line: 988 (call or text, US)

🚩 Reporting & Enforcement

See something wrong? Hit the ⋯ menu on any post and tap "Report." Our admin team reviews every report within 24 hours. We use a three-strike system for most violations before a permanent ban, except zero-tolerance violations which result in an immediate ban.
